Week beginning March 21, 2022; each week we discuss a principle or value of the Qualities of Success. We suggest you use the Word of The Week in your thoughts, deeds and actions. You might currently possess the quality and desire to develop it to a higher level. You could replace a bad habit with a good habit. Write an action step and use it daily to develop the Quality in your life.
The word this week is FORESIGHT: the ability to predict an action or event that will happen or be needed in the future. It is a learned skill and is becoming a required skill. It is when we look for trends, read signs, or test our own assumptions. Foresight is the ability to predict. It gives us the power to shape our futures even in turbulent times. Without it, we can not prepare for the future. Effective foresight is important for life circumstances. People and especially leaders will be able to take advantage of opportunities and to avoid problems. An example is knowing to save money for college or put money in an emergency fund if you lose your job.
Steps to develop foresight:
1. Identify possibilities, probable events and early indicators
2. Prepare a plan for each possible event
3. Research and search for emerging trends
4. Monitor each possible future event.
